You will be helping every child to enjoy a happy and stable childhood and look forward to a brighter future. All of our medical facilities, schools and welfare centers also help the wider community.
Funding for the Center comes from a number of sources. International volunteers from Canada, USA, UK and Germany have spent time at the project and have contributed their resources and time to ACI. Modest contributions from guardians who are able to afford to do so are another source of funding for the Center. ACI is actively seeking additional funding from corporations in Kampala, and is also exploring the avenue of foreign based foundation grants, with the help of our international volunteers.

One Dollar a day gives a child at ACI the resources needed to get adequate care and an education.
Many children in Uganda have been orphaned as a result of the country’s HIV/AIDS epidemic and war and now as a result many orphans are living alone or with one of their extended family; this means that in every family there is an orphan living with them. Some of these children are living on the streets of Kampala and other towns with no access to education, health care, shelter and feeding. As a result, many find their way into crime.

In order to assimilate these children into society and give the children future prospects. We are making a real difference in their lives.
We cannot ignore the plight of these children any more. It is time to accept our responsibility as a caring community and work to make a positive change in the lives of children.
Every child in Uganda has the right to education, health, equality, safety, and a joyful childhood.
ACI has now expanded to four Districts in rural areas to help orphans and vulnerable children where local people have very limited resources to meet the needs of children.
One of ACI main objectives is to be able to meet our commitments to the children in the Center to look after them until they are in a position to support themselves. This means that we have an obligation to generate sufficient reserves to meet the funding requirements needed to maintain the Center and look after the welfare of the children.
